Despair is Real, but Hope Prevails

hope prevails header

Julia* recently attended Klèb Manman (Mom’s Club) in Minoterie, where Madame Roselaure and the Women’s Empowerment team facilitated a wonderful time of fellowship for the moms who attended. This particular club was a bit different than previous clubs, and it turned out to be providentially exactly what Julia needed.

Madame Roselaure took the initiative to teach the moms in the group how to prepare liquid soap. Thinking it was simply another helpful task that would serve the women well, Roselaure taught them, and then moved on with the rest of the plan for Klèb Manman that day.

At the next club meeting, Julia stood up to share her testimony of how she was impacted by attending the previous month. Julia had recently lost her job, and because she had just learned the skill of making liquid soap at Klèb Manman, she was able to utilize that knowledge and sell the soap she made. In her village, women often turn to having to sell their bodies in order to put food on the table. She was so grateful to be in a different situation, and to make enough money to care for her kids because she could sell soap.

The leaders of Klèb Manman saw where Julia was, encouraged her, equipped her with tangible skills, and followed up with her. Because of this, Julia’s life is different today than it would’ve been without the influence of Klèb Manman.

Julia is one of the thousands of examples who you are impacting because of your investment in Mission of Hope. There are so many more just like Julia who are walking through difficult life situations, and we get the chance to step in and tangibly show the love of Jesus to them. When you give to Mission of Hope, you actively meet needs of men, women, and children throughout the Caribbean. Despair is real, but Hope prevails. Would you prayerfully give a gift to Mission of Hope?
