Meeting Virtually with Pastors

We have had the pleasure of working and serving alongside so many incredible men and women in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. This month, we’d like to highlight what God is doing in the DR.

As this COVID season has brought many difficulties for people throughout the Dominican Republic, the local churches haven’t skipped a beat. We have met virtually with pastors from our partner churches and have loved hearing all that God has done in each of their communities through our partnership with them. Even with the additional responsibilities of caring for their own families during this difficult time, the pastors have also been hosting Bible studies, utilizing online platforms for church services, making phone calls to check in with people, delivering meals and groceries, rebuilding homes, and responding to other needs that people in their communities have.

While everyone has faced different challenges, it has been inspiring to see each of them come together to help one another and to trust the Lord and His plans. Through that unity and trust, we’ve seen God’s hand bringing goodness and beauty out of challenges and struggle. God is providing!

“Empowering Local Leaders” is one of our core values, and we have been so encouraged to see how God continues to use the generosity of people just like you to help equip and empower churches in the DR to reach their communities and share the love of Jesus.
