Pastor and Teacher Training in Haiti

Our staff in Haiti have been through tense times the past several weeks, as villages throughout the country have protested the political unrest and skyrocketing inflation. Daily life is exceedingly difficult for the average man or woman trying to provide for their families.

In the midst of this crisis, we have seen how the power of gathering together over a shared vision has created bonds of unity amongst our Haitian friends. It has not been easy, but our Haitian staff has hosted several days of Teacher Training and another Pastor Training session. Both the teachers and pastors encountered challenges in order to make it to the trainings, but they knew the information they would learn was worth the time and effort.

In this time of tremendous difficulty for the country of Haiti, these teachers and pastors were greatly encouraged as they gathered together. They prayed, learned, encouraged, and reminded each other that God is faithful, an ever-present help, and worthy to be trusted.

We are so thankful for opportunities to gather with Haitian leaders and equip them with helpful information to take back to their villages and encourage the people in their communities. We are looking forward to continued opportunities to gather together, including a pastor training that will take place this month in the Dominican Republic.
