Stories of Hope | Gospel Sharing and HopeGo

HAITI

Our education and HaitiOne network recently hosted a gospel sharing seminar at the Church of Hope in Titanyen, Haiti. People from 174 schools participated and learned ways to bring the good news of the gospel into situations and conversations. The participants left that day with practical ways to weave the hope of the gospel into their everyday conversations.

"We are not just sharing and teaching kids how to count. Because our education is Christ-centered, it helps them develop and form their character."
- Flore-Anne, Mission of Hope Staff

The Mission of Hope Haitian staff is propelling the vision forward in inspiring ways, and this is a glimpse. Every month, each department is more committed to stay hopeful in the midst of challenges and to make every moment count. Please pray for the school year, as we have thousands of children in our schools who look forward to the healthy environment, nutritious meal, and quality education they experience each and every day.

HOPEGO | DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

One of the ways we have seen God’s faithfulness is by continuing to cultivate excellent relationships with many pastors in the Dominican Republic (DR). These pastors function in a similar way as the Village Champions in Haiti, as they connect our HopeGo mission trip teams in the communities and serve alongside them. The pastors are continuing to be equipped with the tools, training, and momentum to reach their communities in powerful ways. One example is a small community in the DR where Haitians are living who are extremely underserved and without many resources.

Pastor Diony found this community and his heart immediately broke for them. He shared their needs with his congregation, and they have stepped up to serve them. We have had the opportunity to connect HopeGo mission trip teams with Pastor Diony to meet specific needs of the families in this community—all through the church. As we’ve watched this unfold, it’s been evident that only God could orchestrate these details. For example, many of these people had not been to a doctor in years. This month, God provided a medical HopeGo team to host mobile medical clinics in this community.

2022 has started off with exciting momentum for HopeGo as teams have been serving. Our staff is gearing up for Spring Break and Summer—please join us as we prayerfully anticipate a year full of exciting ministry with people from around the world.
