Stories of Hope | New Beginnings

The new year has already been filled with God’s faithfulness and with new beginnings. Read on to see how you are impacting lives in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, and Guatemala.

HEALTHY SCHOOLS: This month the schools that had been shut down since September due to the unrest in Haiti reopened, bringing 9,562 eager children back into the classroom. Our teachers and administrators met with the excited parents at their Back to School open houses, and everyone is hopeful about the semester ahead.

HEALTHY CHURCHES: Recently we had our first pastoral training in the Dominican Republic with 40 men and women attending. Deeper relationships were developed between the local pastors and our DR staff. This first training session was a milestone as God continues to bring unprecedented unity among Dominican and Haitian leaders. We are excited to see all the great things God will do through the local churches in Santiago!
