Stories of Hope | Reconnecting through Serving

March has been an exciting month at Mission of Hope. We have seen God move in many ways through our ministries and are praising the Lord for the opportunity to host mission trips again.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
A team serving in the Dominican Republic recently met a woman named Youdline. While they were talking with her outside her house, she told them about her community, her children, and their school, and eventually someone asked her about her family and support system.

She teared up as she confessed her fear of a lack of provision and support. Eventually a team member offered to give her a hug, and with tears, she hopped off the porch and hugged the team member.

It was profound to see the joy Youdline exhibited after receiving such a simple gesture. She invited them into her home, and they asked if they could pray for her. They spoke of the joy found in being connected to a church family—the community and confidence in the body of Christ. Pastor Job gave her one of the Bibles the team had raised funds to purchase. She received the Bible with gratitude and dropped to her knees to thank the Lord.

HOPEGO
We are thrilled that teams are serving again internationally with us. We are also excited to share with you that we have been invited to work alongside pastors in Key West, Florida! There are many great opportunities for you to serve, from kids’ ministry to construction projects to evangelism. You will also have an opportunity to experience True North, our 110 ft ship, which is docked in Key West to serve as lodging for our Key West teams.

In this year of flexibility, it’s our desire to facilitate ways for you and your teams to have a meaningful impact while serving safely.
