After Hurricane Dorian hit the Bahamas in September of 2019, God opened up doors to serve alongside church partners and organizations to provide much needed relief to those who lost so much.

Serving in the Bahamas on a disaster response mission trip with Mission of Hope will be a life changing experience for you and your team. At our core, we believe in partnering with local churches, people, schools, and communities, which is how ministry takes place day after day.

Your missions team will play a vital role in the ministry happening in the Bahamas by serving alongside the local churches and leaders to help meet the needs of the people in the communities. MISSION TRIP COSTS: $795 + $25 RESERVATION FEE

PRICE INCLUDES:

• Lodging and meals (teams are asked to bring a required materials list to help with in country supplies)
• Transportation in Bahamas including airport pick up and drop off at Marsh Harbor airport on Abaco Island, Bahamas
• Mission of Hope expenses/admin fees

NOT INCLUDED:

• You are responsible for purchasing your own airfare.
• All team members are asked to bring a short list of food and supplies

IMPORTANT DETAILS

• Work trips: heavy lifting, debris removal, cleaning, supply delivery, and construction
• You must have a passport to travel to the Bahamas
• Minimum age is 12 years old
• We are currently assessing medical needs and are not booking medical trips at this time

TENTATIVE DAILY SCHEDULE, MONDAY—SATURDAY:

• Monday: Arrive in Bahamas
• Tuesday-Friday: Serving in Community
• Saturday: Depart to airport

• Teams final destination in the Bahamas is Marsh Harbor International Airport (MHH). This will require you to fly into Nassau (NAS) and book flights from there to Marsh Harbor (MHH).
• Round trip flights to Nassau (NAS) are readily available via Delta, American, JetBlue, and other major carriers.
• Round trip flights to Marsh Harbor (MHH) average about $80-$120 and can be found on Bahamas Air or Western Air. 
• Make sure to provide at least two hours for a layover for terminal changes in Nassau.
• Be sure to check with the airline for current restrictions, embargos, luggage weight limits, etc. prior to traveling.
