MEDICAL CARE INITIATIVES

Mission of Hope provides medical care to 10,647 people annually through our Clinic of Hope, Medical Outreach Program, mobile medical clinics, and community health initiatives.
MOBILE CLINICS

Teams of North American providers, RNs, LVNs, CNAs, pharmacists, and support staff join with our local doctors, staff, and translators to set up mobile medical clinics in communities that do not have access to quality medical care. We offer medical consultations, prescribe medications, and fill prescriptions. Between 80-200 patients are seen at each clinic, depending on the team size. These clinics are an effective way to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the people. Not only do they allow people to experience exceptional medical care, but they also provide an opportunity to hear of God’s love for them and have someone pray for them.

MEDICAL OUTREACH PROGRAM (MOPS)

The Medical Outreach Program (MOPs) allows us to form long term care and relationships with patients and their families by offering in-home visits to patients who are unable to travel to the nearest clinic. Every patient has an individualized care plan created together with the patient and/or family, the Haitian medical team, and our North American medical staff. Checkups also provide an opportunity to share the gospel or study the Bible through a short devotional and prayer time.

COMMUNITY HEALTH INITIATIVES

The goal of the community health initiatives is to educate people so they can live healthier, fuller lives. With our partners, we provide basic public health services such as vaccinations and offer training on HIV prevention, personal care, family planning, growth monitoring, maternity care, and community health education.

Classes are offered at the community health clinic to educate these patients and their families, as well as provide needed medications and materials.

DENTAL CARE

We bring together local dentists and North American dental professionals serving on mission trips to provide quality dental care to patients. The dental clinic includes dental chairs, a dental x-ray, sterilizers, and all the equipment needed to provide minor dental care. This includes cleanings, extractions, and fillings.

HELP PROVIDE MEDICAL CARE TO PEOPLE IN NEED

Are you a medical professional? Serving on a medical mission trip is a powerful way to use your skills and experience to help others. You will have the unique opportunity to treat patients while also engaging with them relationally. This is a great opportunity to pray for individuals and share your personal story of life transformation.

**Due to the on-going crisis in Haiti and for the safety of our staff, our Titanyen based Clinic of Hope, Vision Clinic, and Prosthetics lab are not currently operational. We continue to monitor the situation and look forward to re-opening in the future**
