MISSION TRIP UPDATES

In accordance with the local government mandates, we have safety protocols in place in each country, including increased sanitation and additional social distancing space, when possible.

COVID HEALTH AND SAFETY:

  • CDC is requiring all air passengers arriving to the U.S. from a foreign country to get tested for COVID-19 no more than 1 day before their flight departs and to provide proof of the negative result to the airline before boarding the flight. *If you recently recovered from COVID-19, you may instead travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19 (i.e.,your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken no more than 90 days before the flight’s departure from a foreign country and a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel).

    - COVID testing to meet this requirement is set up by our MOH staff in-country. Your trip coordinator will provide you with the details before your trip.

  • Mission of Hope encourages all trip participants to have tested negative for Covid before traveling

  • Masks to be worn in accordance with local mandates

  • Increased sanitization of housing, transportation, and common areas

  • Hand sanitizer available at all times, supplied by both the team and MOH

  • Quarantine spaces available if necessary

  • Our insurance policy provides supplemental coverage for all of our trip participants

Your trip coordinator will let you know of any specific country mandates. We know that peace of mind and flexibility are important when it comes to planning for future trips. With that in mind, we are offering:

  • Reservation fee and trip payments made through July 1, 2022 are fully transferable or refundable if Mission of Hope has to postpone your trip due to country mandates or regulations regarding COVID-19.

  • If you make the choice to postpone your trip due to COVID-19, reservation fees and trip payments made to Mission of Hope become fully transferable to a future 2022 or 2023 trip.

The following statements guide our decision on mission trips and are based on guidance from federal, state, and local levels.

  1. Our local staff in each country in which we serve work with local authorities and local medical personnel to determine that there would be no heightened risk for the people in the countries in which we serve.

  1. We will continue to evaluate travel restrictions throughout the U.S.

  1. We will continue to monitor travel restrictions into the countries we are serving in, and ensure there are no bans on large gatherings that would affect our ability to host teams.
