Tim McAvoy
I always wanted to be a soldier, but due to a history of sports injuries I wasn’t able to join the military, so I became a paramedic instead. I spent 3 years in the fire service responding to 9-1-1 calls via ambulance and fire engine. In the meantime, I pursued my paramedic studies.
During those 3 years, I went on a trip to Haiti with Mission of Hope and got to help provide medical care to the less-fortunate. I saw Jesus’s vision for the church come to fruition as we happily served. Now I am a paramedic, and I get to go back and lead the very team in which I played a very small role before.
As Medical Coordinator, I am serving as a leader for the American teams that come to join our mobile medical clinics. I thank God for this privilege and I pray that our work will bring healing in more ways than we can think to ask. Thank you for supporting me in whatever ways you are able!
In Christ,
Tim
