In response to devastation from Hurricane Dorian in the northern Bahamas, Mission of Hope was asked by local churches and partners in South Florida and the Bahamas to provide logistical support in coordination with NEMA and the local church as they respond to the crisis in that area.
True North, Mission of Hope’s ship, made its first trip to the Northern Bahamas Sept 8th, to aid in logistical relief, organized by local churches and partners in South Florida. Since then, private sector partners and churches from across the US have come behind an effort to support local churches across the Abacos as communities look to resettle and re-establish their homes.
Our focus is primarily on the local church and pastors, ensuring that we can support their efforts to serve their communities as they look to rebuild their homes and lives.
