Jeanson’s Story

When I was young, my parents didn’t have enough money to take care for me. At 9 years old I was brought to the Mission of Hope orphanage. I missed my family so bad.

Because of a sponsor I was able to go to school. I am the first one in my family who graduated and now I have a job at Mission of Hope.

My brother and sister were not able to go to school and because I have a job I am now able to help them to have an education and have a better future.

I also help pay for my family’s home and also for their food. They are my family; it feels good to be able to do this.

Now I am taking business classes online. I would like to have my own business and start to create jobs for other people, keep helping my family, and other people in Haiti.

If I did not have an education I would not have all these opportunities. Mission of Hope has changed my life and now I can help make life better for others.
