The Mission of Hope Farmer Training and Ag Program is designed to empower Haitian farmers with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to thrive.

FARM FIELD SCHOOL

Our Farm Field School is in the mountains of Marmalade, Haiti, and offers a comprehensive two-year curriculum focused on cutting-edge agricultural training for sustainable economic growth. Here, farmers are equipped with the advanced techniques needed to maximize crop yields and revolutionize local farming practices. But our commitment goes beyond agriculture; through weekly Bible studies, we nurture the spiritual growth of our participants, ensuring their development is holistic and deeply rooted in community and faith.

SEEDS PROGRAM

The Seeds Program provides critical support to farmers striving to improve their livelihoods and the well-being of their families. By supplying high-quality seeds and continuous agricultural education, we empower farmers to become cornerstone contributors to their communities. The fruits of their labor extend beyond their fields, as they have the opportunity to play a role in supplying nutritious meals to students across Haiti through our nutrition program.

AGRICULTURE SCHOOL INITIATIVE

In addition to our Farm Field School and Seeds Program, we have an Agro School initiative. Spanning across four schools in the Turpin/Orangers areas, these Agro Schools establish school gardens with demonstration plots on their own land. Working closely with students from primary 4th to 6th grades, our team provides hands-on agricultural education to cultivate a love for farming from a young age. The produce harvested from these gardens is then added to the schools' daily meals, enriching the nutrition and health of students while instilling a sense of ownership and sustainability within their educational environment. Through the Agro School initiative, our team is nurturing future generations of Haitian farmers while fostering a culture of self-sufficiency and community empowerment.
