Farm Field School | Haiti

An important part of ministry at Mission of Hope is the agriculture program and the Farm Field School in Marmelade, Haiti. The farmers at our Farm Field School recently celebrated their fifth graduating class, consisting of 36 farmers! Each farmer received a certificate as a testament to their dedication during the two years of training. The graduation ceremony provides the opportunity to honor the farmers, involve the community, and celebrate the hard labor the farmers have poured into their crops.

The ceremony started with a procession of the recipients accompanied by a local orchestra. Celebration filled the streets and many from the community gathered, including local authorities, neighbors, friends, and families. The graduates thanked God for His grace, the gift of having a school like this in their community, and everyone who, in one way or another, contributed to the success and implementation of the project.

Graduates shared their testimony and explained the changes that God brought to their life during the two years of training. Two of the farmers made the decision to follow Jesus throughout their time at the school. Praise God for life transformation!

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.

Please pray for the 36 graduates of the Farm Field School. Pray for favor over their crops, a bountiful harvest, and provision for their families and communities.

Also, please join us in praying for peace, protection, and provision for the people of Haiti as political tensions have continued to rise, affecting the daily lives of everyone in the country. Pray for Christians to walk with courage, boldness, and to be people of peace. Pray for those who do not yet know Christ to come to know and experience Him in a tangible way. Pray for God to be glorified and for the Church to rise up and lead.
