Stories of Hope | Answered prayers

These are challenging times. As you may know, Mission of Hope has some experience with challenges—the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Hurricane Matthew, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Dorian, political instability, protests, government shutdowns, and now Covid-19.

Thank you for rising to the challenge with us. People in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Guatemala need us right now—they need the local Church—and you are helping empower local pastors and leaders to serve their communities. Here are just a few of the stories that you are helping make possible.

HAITI
Our Village Champions recently passed out masks and installed hand-washing stations to help prevent Covid-19. Two community members, Jude Valcine and Lucianie Regis, helped educate their neighbors about Covid-19 prevention. The eagerness of the community is keeping our Village Champions busy, as they hurry to refill the soap dispensers to keep up with demand!

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Pastors from our local partner churches have been able to give food packages to over 250 families in Santiago and Sosua. We are also in the process of repairing a woman’s home in the community of Cien Fuegos, whom we lovingly call Abuela. She just turned 81 years old and has been waiting for these repairs for months. They are truly an answered prayer.

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to transform the lives of every man, woman, and child through Jesus Christ.
