GROCERY DELIVERY TO COMMUNITY BUILDING | KEY WEST
Alongside a recent HopeGo mission team and partner church, Glad Tidings, our staff in Key West had the opportunity to meet and serve a Haitian family who has been in the U.S. for just three weeks. This family spoke no English, so when they heard our team speaking Creole to them, they were overjoyed. The mom's eyes filled with tears when she was given a bag of groceries because they didn't know how they were going to get food or pay for their rent that month.

Community was something else they were desperately hoping to find. They were looking for a church service in Creole, and our team was able to connect them to Pastor Jean Jean, a Haitian pastor, who already has his church van coming to that community. This family is now connected with a pastor who is passionate about serving families and helping them get the resources they need to have a life here. From bags of groceries, to conversations with introductions that build meaningful community, God is meeting the individual needs of men, women, and children in Key West.

SPORTS COMPLEX | HAITI

Students line the stands and the crowd erupts with each goal scored. The atmosphere at the Haiti Sports Complex is nothing short of electric—from the people in the crowds excitedly cheering for their team, to the players having the experience of a lifetime and feeling like stars, to every person who attended to have the opportunity to be encouraged and hear the Gospel.

This month, Lig Lespwa’s championship soccer game was a thriller between the Bercy and Titanyen school teams—it was certainly an event to remember. Bercy took the win by one point, and the crowd filled the stands with excitement and passion! In the midst of the challenges that have affected everyone with the political unrest in Haiti, we are thankful for the opportunities for joy, celebration, and unity!
